Harrods

Harrods is a world-famous luxury department store located in Knightsbridge, London. Established in 1849, the store is renowned for its opulent setting and an extensive range of luxury products, from designer fashion and accessories to premium homeware and gourmet food. Covering over one million square feet of retail space, it's one of the largest and most iconic department stores in Europe. With its grand architecture and signature green and gold branding, Harrods is not just a shopping destination but a landmark in its own right.

Changing Colours:
Tiffany & Co. and Harrods Light Up London

When two iconic names like Tiffany & Co. and Harrods get together, you know something special is about to happen. The two giants teamed up to make London sparkle even more. Harrods turned its well-known lights from amber to Tiffany Blue to welcome a new Tiffany department inside the store. This big moment also kicked off Tiffany’s 150th year in London. Not Studio was called in to capture all of it, making films and photos that really show the magic of the event.

Harrods is a store everyone knows, and its twinkling lights on Brompton Road are a big part of that. For this special event, Harrods changed 7,500 light bulbs to the famous Tiffany Blue colour. It wasn't just about new lights; it was about showing the world that two amazing brands were coming together in a new way.

This once-in-a-lifetime activation coincided with the jewellery brand’s 150-year London anniversary, as well as the opening of their 'Vision & Virtuosity’ exhibition at the nearby Saatchi Gallery.

With the Brompton Road partially closed throughout the night to allow access to the 70-metre cranes that provided access to the upper reaches of the department store, Not Studio’s utilised stills, moving image, drown and time-lapse crews to get up close and personal with the 7,000+ lightbulbs of this iconic facade. In the process we captured a unique basket of content, showing the amazingly painstaking change from amber to Tiffany Blue, followed by the star-studded swtich-on event.

“The coveted Tiffany blue box holds a special place in my heart, as I’m sure it does for many others, and so I feel very privileged to be a part of this 150th UK anniversary celebrations, in collaboration with Harrods. It was wonderful to light up the sky ‘Tiffany blue’ this evening.”
