elevating a gallery with minimal website design
We used our expertise to create a visually compelling online exhibition portfolio, when we recently undertook the web design and development of a contemporary website for the emerging art Gallery Sarah Kravitz on Soho Square, London. This modern platform was meticulously crafted to reflect the gallery's identity, showcasing its diverse range of exhibitions, seasonal programs, and live events. Emphasising aesthetics and user experience, the site presents a clean, intuitive interface that guides visitors through the gallery's vibrant program.
Central to the website's appeal is the inclusion of detailed artist profiles for each artist represented by the London gallery. Not Studio ensured the profiles were visually engaging, allowing visitors to delve into the backgrounds, inspirations, and portfolios of the artists.
The site’s simple yet elegant design, was mainly designed around the need to showcase both solo exhibitions and group shows. These highly visual sections serve as a virtual gallery, allowing visitors to navigate through current, upcoming, and past exhibitions with ease. The immersive content, high-resolution images and detailed exhibition narratives, ensure that each artist’s vision is fully conveyed. We aimed to bridge the gap between physical and digital art spaces, making the gallery’s diverse and rich artistic offerings accessible to their global audience.
The addition of the print shop allows art enthusiasts to purchase prints, books, zines and smaller works directly from the website. The e-commerce store features a curated selection of artworks, with detailed descriptions and easy navigation, ensuring that each transaction is as informative and engaging as the rest of the site.
Not Studio took the lead as the website developer for this project, bringing their web development expertise into play. They tackled the development project head-on, focusing on creating a user-friendly and visually appealing website for the Sarah Kravitz Gallery. Their work involved everything from planning to the final touches of the website development, ensuring the site was easy to use and looked great. Not Studio's dedication to simplicity and quality in web development shone through, making the gallery's new online home a standout project.
Creative content for gallery spaces and events
Not Studio extended its creative services to the physical space of the gallery by undertaking extensive photography shoots of the exhibitions. The photography captured the curation and atmosphere of the exhibitions, allowing online visitors to experience the art pieces with remarkable clarity and depth.
Additionally, Not Studio produced simple short films for many of exhibitions and events, offering a moving image view of the artists' works. These films were meant to capture the spacial layout and emotions of the artworks, providing an added narrative to the static visual content.
The collaboration between the Sarah Kravitz Gallery and Not Studio has resulted in a modern, contemporary website that showcases the gallery's exhibitions, programs, and artists.
